Presentation Formats

  • Presentations must be impactful, concise,  to-the-point, and share outcomes and/or lessons learned. Most run 20 to 30 minutes and include audience Q&A
  • Case studies should address outcomes and include practical, actionable information.
  • We like TED-style presentations - and attendees do, too.
  • A good thought-leadership proposal usually makes us sit up and take notice.

What We're Looking For

Attendees prefer case studies, best practices, and are eager to learn how their peers are tackling precision medicine. As such, we place high value on proposals from payer and provider organizations that offer practical, actionable information and real-life solutions.
We accept proposals from healthcare payers and providers, government agencies and academic institutions. We rarely accept proposals from healthcare vendors and consultants and only if they will be presented by a provider or payer customer.

Review Procedures

We evaluate presentation proposals for the Precision Medicine Summit according to the following criteria:

  • Topic is timely, well focused, and relevant to healthcare providers and payers
  • Information is original
  • Session content is high quality
  • Proposal is complete
  • Proposal includes best practices and clear takeaway for attendees
  • Presenter's previous speaking experience
  • Uniqueness of approach to the topic or of presenter perspective

No Commercial Content

Submissions will not be selected if they appear to directly promote specific products/services or are of a commercial nature. Likewise, if your submission is selected, HIMSS has the right to request that you make modifications to keep your session within the program content guidelines.

Deadline

The deadline to submit is Friday, February 16 at 5 PM ET.

Only completed forms will be considered.
