Transformation and Evolution: Moving Precision Medicine to the Point of Care

HIMSS is now accepting speaking proposals for the Precision Medicine Summit, May 17-18 in Washington, DC.

This is one of the hottest, most important, and fascinating topics in healthcare, and at HIMSS, we want to facilitate the transformation to better, more personalized care. Over two days, speakers will share their work, discuss industry trends, and, importantly, address what must be done to bring precision medicine into the point of care.

Think of the event’s State of the Industry focus this way: Where are we? Where are we going? And how do we get there?

If your organization has begun the migration, or you have expert insights into what’s required, you’re the perfect speaker for this event. Help us - and our audience of 150 healthcare clinical and IT leaders - make precision medicine a reality for patients and boost healthcare’s value by improving outcomes.

Case studies are a priority. We want to know what healthcare organizations are doing to move the promise of precision medicine into everyday practice. Speakers should deliver talks that help move the needle. We do not accept vendor proposals.

Topics of interest include but are not limited to:

  • Technology and infrastructure
  • Big data and precision medicine
  • Personalizing care
  • Genomics and other data sources
  • Social determinants, social media and  other data streams
  • Ethical issues
  • Domaine knowledge and expertise: What’s needed?
  • Reimbursement
  • Developing a scalable approach
  • Successful clinical models
  • Measuring ROI
  • Regulatory landscape
  • Vendor landscape: Build vs. Buy
  • Follow the money: VC and Investment landscape
  • Precision medicine at the point of care: Real-life case studies
  • Accelerating precision medicine with machine learning and artificial intelligence

No commercial content. Submissions will not be selected if they appear to directly promote specific products/services or are of a commercial nature. Likewise, if your submission is selected, HIMSS has the right to request that you make modifications to keep your session within the program content guidelines.

The deadline for submitting a proposal is 5 PM, February 16.

Thank you for your interest in in the Precision Medicine Summit. If your proposal matches our requirements, we will contact you.
